portfolio management

When building an investment portfolio there are two important considerations. The first is asset allocation, which is concerned with how you spread your investment between different asset types and regions. The second is fund selection, which is concerned with the decision of which fund managers and funds to use within each of the different asset sectors chosen.

The first part of our process is to establish your objectives and your attitude to risk, then we can establish an appropriate Asset Allocation Model, using a sophisticated financial tool which attempts to determine an optimal combination of different asset classes to predict the maximum mathematically expected return for your chosen level of risk.

Once we have determined the structure of the portfolio we will then select the specific investment funds within the various asset classes.  These funds are selected in house using specific criteria to ensure maximum investment performance.

We will then monitor the portfolio on an ongoing basis holding Portfolio Valuation Meetings at regular intervals (determined by you) ensuring that the investments perform within your expectations.
